About the role

  • Supports the financial operations of the clinical operations service by performing foundational financial analysis, monitoring spending, and preparing reports that drive operational and strategic decision making.
  • Plays an important part in helping clinical leadership understand financial performance, manage budgets, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries and variance reports to support finance and clinical leadership.
  • Assists in measuring financial performance against operational budgets and forecasts.
  • Assists with annual budgeting processes, spending reviews, and departmental forecast updates.
  • Monitors monthly spending and analyzes trends to identify potential cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Provides financial insights to support decision-making by finance and operations leaders.
  • Prepares graphs, dashboards, and presentation materials for clinical directors and finance leadership.
  • Works closely with operations and finance leaders to gather data and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while providing accurate, reliable, high-quality work
  • Demonstrated knowledge of reviewing and analyzing financial results
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all personnel levels based on the information required at each level
  • Able to maintain the utmost confidentiality and discretion with respect to dissemination of information
  • Detail oriented; able to keep key personnel on task regardless of their position in the organization
  • Keen sense of awareness about identifying potential challenges, risk issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Previous experience is not required, foundational knowledge of financial reporting and analysis is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare is preferred but not required.
