About the role
- Leads employees by supporting, coaching, training, assisting with time management and performing evaluations; should conduct regular meetings with all direct reports.
- Designs and implements scalable data quality automation frameworks and test harnesses to validate data across multiple systems and domains.
- Defines and operationalizes data quality rules and metrics that align with business objectives and technical standards.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with data governance, data engineering, analytics, products, and business teams to ensure alignment on data quality priorities.
- Defines data quality KPIs, trends, and issues, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Drives adoption of industry best practices in data profiling, anomaly detection, and root cause analysis.
- Ensures compliance with internal data governance policies and external regulatory requirements related to data quality.
- Evaluates and integrate data quality tools and platforms, making recommendations for technology improvements.
- Supports strategic initiatives by providing data quality expertise in enterprise projects, migrations, and transformations.
Requirements
- Proven experience with test automation frameworks, data validation tools, and quality rule engines.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and data governance principles.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python or SQL.
- Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Informatica DQ, Talend, Great Expectations, Collibra, etc.).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical data quality rules.
- Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with DevOps practices is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in data management, including 2 plus years in a leadership role overseeing data quality or related programs required.
