About the role

  • Full P&L Ownership
  • Own revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and overall financial performance of the sustainability services product line
  • Develop and deliver annual operating plans and long-term value creation targets
  • Drive pricing strategy, cost structure optimization, and resource allocation
  • Establish financial rigor across forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking
  • Partner with Revenue Team leadership to drive revenue growth and client retention
  • Maintain visibility into pipeline health, conversion rates, and cross-sell execution, ensuring the operational foundation (product-market fit, value proposition, and delivery capabilities) enables sales success, without direct ownership of sales performance
  • Identify new service offerings, pricing models, and market opportunities
  • Standardize and scale delivery models across the segment
  • Drive efficiency in resourcing, utilization, and project economics
  • Implement consistent KPIs, dashboards, and reporting across product offerings
  • Lead investments in tools, systems, and process improvements to enhance scalability
  • Establish risk management processes to mitigate operational risks and ensure regulatory compliance across all regions and service lines
  • Translate corporate strategy into actionable plans
  • Prioritize initiatives that maximize enterprise value (growth, margin, scalability), while maintaining the mission of the organization
  • Monitor performance and adjust strategy based on market dynamics and results
  • Ensure alignment between strategic objectives and day-to-day execution
  • Work closely with the functional teams and business units to ensure alignment across all company initiatives
  • Foster a collaborative environment that drives innovation and operational success
  • Lead integration of acquired sustainability services businesses, if applicable
  • Ensure realization of revenue synergies, cost efficiencies, and capability expansion
  • Drive consistency in processes, tools, and client delivery approaches
  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience across the full product line
  • Monitor client satisfaction, retention, and account growth metrics
  • Step in on key strategic accounts or escalations as needed
  • Report on performance, risks, and opportunities to C-Suite
  • Contribute to value creation planning and exit readiness
  • Provide clear visibility into drivers of financial and operational performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, or a sustainability-related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in sustainability services
  • Proven experience owning or directly managing a P&L
  • Strong financial acumen with deep understanding of revenue, margin, and cost drivers
  • Ability to integrate multiple business units into a cohesive operating model
  • Commercial mindset with ability to link delivery to growth outcomes
  • Operational rigor with focus on scalability and repeatability
  • Mission-driven orientation with a genuine commitment to sustainability and long-term environmental impact
  • Ability to align business decisions with sustainability goals while balancing commercial outcomes
  • Strong sense of accountability for advancing sustainability initiatives across the organization
  • Forward-looking perspective that integrates sustainability into strategy, operations, and client solutions
