About the role
- Acquire and execute complex technical customer projects, ensuring that deliverables meet customer requirements and timelines.
- Actively network with technical departments of key accounts and prospects, ensuring that new opportunities are identified and converted into successful projects.
- Embrace a pioneering spirit, exploring new materials and technologies to contribute to our safety, sustainability, and innovation goals.
- Proactive networking in the tech departments of assigned accounts/prospects
- Acquisition and execution of technical projects
- Main customer contact for technical project development and material/application consulting
- Leading internal and external resources during complex development projects
- Continuously developing and providing in-depth expertise in focus applications for Gears and Bearings
- Manage multiple concurrent projects effectively with clear prioritization.
- Coordinate and communicate with diverse stakeholders across internal teams and external partners.
- Evaluate project opportunities by balancing support efforts with their probability of success, expected volume, and strategic relevance.
- Engage directly with external customers—including material experts, component developers, manufacturing teams, and technical managers—to convert technical opportunities into business solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as Account Management, R&D, Marketing, Product Management, and the Sales Leadership Team.
Requirements
- Mechanical engineering or materials technology degree with focus on plastics technology
- Strong business acumen and customer centric approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset; self-starter with high level of motivation and resilience
- High level of energy, commitment, and passion for the Business
- Agile and goal oriented
- Full proficiency in English and preferably another European language
- Frequent travel required
