About the role
- Technical delivery of building code consulting projects, including plan reviews and markups, report writing, and coordination.
- Technical input to alternative solutions including fire modelling, evacuation modelling, and risk assessments.
- Conduct field reviews and other contract administrative duties.
- Draft project-related correspondence as needed.
- Participate in project meetings facilitating solutions to achieve code compliance or options for consideration that are outside the code (alternative solutions).
- Collaborate with external consultants and constructors, and other services internally at Entuitive.
- Project Management.
- Business Development & Client Relations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in civil or mechanical engineering, architecture, or a related field, or Diploma in Architectural or Fire Protection Engineering Technology
- 6-8 years of experience in building code compliance and developing performance-based Alternative Solution in a consulting environment
- Registered Professional Engineer or other professional designation such as BCIN Professional
- Experience interpreting and applying regulatory codes and standards to ensure compliance
- Demonstrated ability to develop performance-based solutions meeting the requirements of the regulations and achieving approvals
- Knowledgeable of local market conditions, emerging trends, and opportunities
- Strong business acumen, and the ability to exercise sound judgment
- Proven ability to build relationships and develop networks, including with Authorities Having Jurisdiction
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to manage complex situations with multiple stakeholders utilizing conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proven client service capability along with the experience to effectively manage multiple teams simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while juggling competing priorities
- The willingness to be Entuitive.
