About the role
- Partner with our Americas Sales team to meet revenue targets while managing corporate risk
- Train Sales on legal topics and negotiation efficiencies
- Negotiate and close complex technology, support and professional services agreements
- Collaborate with legal team and stakeholders to build contracting efficiencies and processes
- Manage a large volume and variety of transactions and prioritize projects
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and coordinate resources for negotiations
- Develop comprehensive understanding of Entrust’s technology to quantify risk and educate stakeholders
- Adopt proactive legal practice and assist in due diligence and integration for acquisitions
- Conduct research on applicable laws and regulations regarding commercial and compliance matters
Requirements
- JD (or equivalent) from an accredited law school and authorized and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction (including the jurisdiction from which you are working from)
- Must be able to lawfully work within the jurisdiction in which you are residing and have unrestricted work authorization
- 4+ years of relevant, post-law school experience (at least 2 years in an in-house corporate environment preferred)
- Strong skills in interpreting, drafting, and negotiating sophisticated technology contracts (including agreements for hardware, software, managed and hosted services, cloud services/aaS technologies)
- Experience supporting Sales, both direct and indirect models, including negotiating managed service, OEM, system integrator agreements
- A solid understanding of data privacy and information security contractual issues
- Ability to travel as necessary (estimated at 10% or less)
- Superior interpersonal, communication (both written and oral) and organization skills (preferred)
- Responsive and detailed-oriented (preferred)
- Highly adaptable and agile; comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity (preferred)
- Proven ability to work both collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision (preferred)
- Experience working effectively cross-functionally and building strong relationships with business partners across an organization (preferred)
- Ability to solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity (preferred)
- Government contracting experience at federal, state and local levels a plus (preferred)
