About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain full ownership of accounting for all off-balance sheet loan funds
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial records in accordance with GAAP
  • Monitor cash positions across various bank accounts and funding needs for operations and lending
  • Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages
  • Develop clear, actionable insights on fund performance, drivers, and risks
  • Serve as a primary finance contact for investors, capital providers, external auditors, as well as internal teams
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for all assigned funds
  • Support and enhance loan servicing and accounting systems
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of finance operations and reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent is required
  • CPA is a plus
  • 5-7 years accounting experience is required
  • some public accounting experience is a plus
  • Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and possess strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must possess strong financial, analytical, organizational, and quantitative skills
  • Must demonstrate strong ethics and professionalism in interpersonal relations and work as an effective team member
  • Strong automation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft products and accounting applications
  • Expertise in loan servicing software a plus
  • Experience with accounting systems required
  • Experience with Workday and/or Adaptive is a plus
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required
  • Able to work effectively both independently and in team environments
