About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support GitOps-based application delivery with Argo CD across development, staging, and production clusters
- Manage Argo CD applications, Helm charts, and Kubernetes manifests
- Maintain GitLab CI pipelines for container image builds and upstream OSS image mirrors
- Operate GKE clusters, including workloads, namespaces, storage, secrets, and node pools
- Support ingress and API gateway layers using ingress-nginx, Kubernetes Gateway API, Envoy Gateway, and Kong
- Manage TLS certificate lifecycle with cert-manager
- Assist with HashiCorp Vault and Vault Secrets Operator secrets management
- Configure workload autoscaling with KEDA and Kubernetes-native mechanisms
- Monitor cluster and application health with Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, exporters, Loki, and Grafana Alloy
- Troubleshoot pod, networking, DNS, and storage issues
- Support PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, MinIO, and PocketBase workloads
- Contribute to RBAC, network policies, ClamAV file scanning, and container image vulnerability management
- Build infrastructure automation using Bash and Python scripting
- Participate in backup, disaster recovery, and incident response procedures
- Document cluster configurations, deployment runbooks, and operational procedures for audit and compliance requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or System Administration
- Fresh graduates with strong Kubernetes-focused internships, home labs, or academic projects are encouraged to apply
- Solid understanding of Linux system administration fundamentals
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Ability to identify repetitive operational tasks and automate them using Bash, Python, Go, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, or Kubernetes-native tooling
- Hands-on Docker experience, including building images, writing Dockerfiles, and managing container lifecycles
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes concepts including Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, and Secrets
- Exposure to Helm or Kubernetes YAML manifests
- Familiarity with a cloud platform, preferably GCP/GKE
- Exposure to CI/CD tools, preferably GitLab CI
- Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis; exposure to Elasticsearch, MinIO, or PocketBase is a plus
- Intermediate scripting skills in Bash and/or Python or Go
- Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TLS/SSL certificates, load balancing, and Kubernetes Services/Ingress networking
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging concepts such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
- Preferred exposure to Argo CD or Flux, Prometheus Operator, Loki, Vault, KEDA, cert-manager, Kong, ingress-nginx, OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS, Gateway API, Envoy, Kubernetes operators, CRDs, GKE specifics, Terraform, Ansible, OpenShift, Node.js or Python applications on Kubernetes, AI/LLM platforms, conversational AI, or MLOps
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly in an Agile environment
