About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the QA team in planning, execution, and delivery of test strategies and test plans.
- Develop and maintain automated and manual test frameworks.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define test requirements.
- Mentor and support junior QA engineers to ensure best practices and high performance.
- Oversee the testing of web, mobile, API, and/or backend applications, ensuring full coverage.
- Analyze and report test results, track defects, and ensure issues are resolved before release.
- Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release retrospectives.
- Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD integration and test environment management.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in QA with at least 2 years in a lead or senior QA role.
- Proficiency in writing test plans, test cases, and executing both manual and automated tests.
- Strong hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with JIRA for user stories, bug tracking and for effective communication internally during SDLC.
- Good understanding and hands on experience of prompt engineering.
- Good to have : Knowledge about how LLM, Agents work in general.
