About the role
- Manage the development and execution of medium to large complex, multi-phased projects with external project dependencies
- Promote client satisfaction by ensuring project adheres to stakeholder specifications
- Ensure project completion within determined scope, quality, time and cost constraints
- Lead/participate in development of SOW or RFP responses and maintain contract/SOW files
- Define, organize and plan project schedules; facilitate estimation of moderately complex projects
- Develop project schedules and determine resource needs; work with resource managers for allocation
- Independently manage multiple simple projects concurrently
- Inspect and review projects for adherence to standards and EPMO guidelines
- Control project scope through change management
- Perform qualitative/quantitative risk analysis; manage risk response and control
- Ensure project close-out activities are completed and documented
- Resolve conflicting requirements; prepare written scope statements and ensure SLA compliance
- Establish stakeholder commitment to project vision and manage change approval processes
- Define, communicate, and enforce project roles and responsibilities
- Manage budgets and timelines; utilize project management tools/techniques to track costs and schedules
- Develop detailed time and cost estimates and recommend budget changes as needed
- Communicate effectively between clients and staff; implement and update communications plans
- Use negotiation skills to resolve differing viewpoints; escalate issues to management appropriately
- Facilitate risk/issue tracking meetings and re-evaluate risks during implementation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of IT program and project management experience
- IT outsourcing / consulting experience required
- Proficiency in MS Office Projects and MS Project
- Data visualization and reporting experience
- Ability to travel when required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Project Management Institute PMP (Preferred)
- ITIL knowledge or certification (Preferred)
- ITSM knowledge or certification (Preferred)
