About the role
- Design, develop, validate, and deploy AI systems used in real-world clinical settings
- Deliver safe, effective, and regulatory-compliant solutions trusted by clinicians
- Collaborate with clinical teams and product engineers to integrate AI into healthcare workflows
- Conduct cutting-edge healthcare AI research with opportunities to publish and present at conferences
- Work in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment to directly impact patient care
- Participate in product development for waveform AI across sleep medicine and other physiological monitoring applications
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on ML experience, ideally in regulated or safety-critical domains
- Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and modern data science methods
- Proficiency with physiological signals, time series, or sensor data
- Strong coding skills in Python
- Proficiency with ML/DL libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
- Experience with medical data (imaging, physiological, EHR) a plus
- Experience with addressing model interpretability, bias, and real-world deployment challenges
- Familiarity with SaMD regulatory frameworks (FDA 510(k), MDSAP, ISO 13485) a plus
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Ph.D. a plus)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with data engineering tools such as BigQuery, Mongo, Airflow, Dagster
- Published research or patents in healthcare AI, and/or contributions to open source software
- Startup mindset: adaptable, resourceful, comfortable with autonomy, and impact-driven
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in the United States (company cannot support sponsorships)
