About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor network performance and identify optimization opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain network standards, SOPs, disaster recovery documentation, network diagrams, device inventories, and license inventories.
- Administer routers, switches, wireless networks, firewalls, and system monitoring tools.
- Maintain network policies and apply current security best practices and tools.
- Validate network health, performance, availability, security, redundancy, and business continuity.
- Develop solutions to automate and improve network reliability and efficiency.
- Serve as a technical expert, driving adoption of new standards and improving performance metrics.
- Provide Tier 3 support for the enterprise network, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, monitoring, and reporting applications.
- Participate in change management, including developing plans for production upgrades.
- Coordinate with the Information Security team and Technology leadership.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years of networking experience.
- Expertise in deploying and managing network switches and firewalls such as Cisco, Palo Alto, or similar hardware.
- Ability and experience managing networks in a hybrid environment (on premise and Azure cloud).
- Expertise in deploying, configuring, and supporting zero-trust networks.
- Proficiency in operating systems, network software, and utility programs.
- Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
- Advanced scripting/programming skills in PowerShell, Python, or other languages.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills in infrastructure devices and applications.
- Experience managing Linux and VMware is a plus.
- Strong understanding of ITIL and change management.
- Ability to write detailed documentation based on audit and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
- Ability to interact with senior leadership and client contacts.
- Willingness to learn and implement new technologies.
