About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and maintain target-state network architecture across cloud and on-premises environments
  • Create reference designs, standards, and documentation
  • Architect Azure-first cloud network solutions for scalability, segmentation, and secure connectivity
  • Design and govern the network security edge, including next-generation firewalls, zero-trust principles, and secure remote access
  • Guide enterprise routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure evolution
  • Define integration paths between on-premises and cloud environments
  • Support multi-cloud connectivity
  • Ensure network designs align with healthcare regulatory and security requirements
  • Partner with security teams on audit readiness
  • Champion automation and Infrastructure-as-Code for network provisioning and change management
  • Partner on incident response and root cause analysis
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors
  • Present and defend architecture decisions to technical teams and senior stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years in enterprise networking
  • 3+ years in a formal network architecture role for a large, multi-site environment
  • Hands-on cloud network architecture experience, with depth in Microsoft Azure
  • Strong background with next-generation firewall platforms, zero-trust architecture, and secure remote access
  • Solid experience with enterprise routing, switching, and wireless technologies
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting, such as Terraform, PowerShell, or Python
  • Experience designing for high availability, resiliency, and secure access in a regulated environment
  • Healthcare/HIPAA experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills across engineering, leadership, and partner teams
  • Openness to innovation, including AI
  • Willingness and ability to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require
  • Relevant industry certifications in cloud networking, network security, or enterprise networking are a plus
  • Experience in healthcare, revenue cycle, or another regulated industry is a plus
  • Exposure to establishing architecture standards or review practices is a plus
