About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Schedule and pre-register Diagnostic Services patients for appropriate procedures based on physician orders
- Select accurate medical records to support patient safety
- Provide patient instructions
- Pre-register patients
- Obtain and validate demographic and insurance information
- Provide excellent customer service
- Perform Point of Service collections and financial counseling functions as appropriate
- Perform other job-related duties as required by the supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire
- 1–3 years’ work experience
- 2 years’ experience in a healthcare-related position
- Experience working with insurance companies and/or pre-authorizations required
- Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance
- Formal typing proficiency with a minimum of 35 WPM
- Intermediate proficiency in MS applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with multiple computer systems and dual screens
- Ability to multitask and work individually while applying critical thinking skills
- Customer Service experience highly preferred
- Willingness to embrace innovation, including AI, to explore better processes
- Must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require
