About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Scheduling and pre-registering patients for appropriate procedures based on physician's orders
Selecting accurate medical records for patient safety
Providing proper patient instructions and obtaining/validating demographic and insurance information
Performing Point of Service collections and financial counseling functions as appropriate
Other job-related duties as required by their supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience
Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire
1-3 years' work experience
2 years’ experience in a healthcare related position
Experience working with insurance companies and/or pre-authorizations required
Intermediate proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Formal typist with a minimum of 35 WPM
Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance
Able to multitask and work individually while applying critical thinking skills
Customer Service experience highly preferred
