About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Schedule and pre-register Diagnostic Services patients for appropriate procedures based on physician orders
  • Select accurate medical records to support patient safety
  • Provide patient instructions
  • Pre-register patients
  • Obtain and validate demographic and insurance information
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Perform Point of Service collections and financial counseling functions as appropriate
  • Perform other job-related duties as required by the supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire
  • 1–3 years’ work experience
  • 2 years’ experience in a healthcare-related position
  • Experience working with insurance companies and/or pre-authorizations required
  • Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance
  • Formal typing proficiency with a minimum of 35 WPM
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with multiple computer systems and dual screens
  • Ability to multitask and work individually while applying critical thinking skills
  • Customer Service experience highly preferred
  • Willingness to embrace innovation, including AI, to explore better processes
  • Must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require
