About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for planning, developing, organizing, and managing the Patient Access department
  • Responsible for performance and effectiveness of department(s)
  • Coaching and development of all staff performing functions
  • Implementing short and long-term plans and objectives to improve customer service
  • Collecting quality information
  • Provide leadership and contribute to the revenue cycle and organizational goals
  • Meeting the mission and goals of Ensemble Health Partners
  • Meeting regulatory compliance requirements
  • Work closely with the Director of Patient Access to align processes and procedures with Ensemble Health Partners policies
  • Directly managing the operations for the admitting, registration, and financial services departments
  • Assigning accurate MRNs, completing medical necessity / compliance checks
  • Providing proper patient instructions, collecting insurance information, and receiving and processing physician orders
  • Ensuring that proper accounting processes are followed
  • Developing and managing departmental staffing needs
  • Preparing monthly reports
  • Establishing departmental goals with the staff to optimize performance
  • Collecting, interpreting, and communicating performance data using various tools and systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification
  • Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) certification
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience in Healthcare Management/Administration
  • Minimum 2 – 3 year’s management experience in healthcare industry
  • Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance or call center preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft a must
  • Ability to balance numerous priorities, therefore requiring great skills in prioritization
  • Ability to understand and master numerous computer applications, while also understanding information technology enough to work with the I.T. department to ensure the technological needs of the department are being met.
  • Demonstrated advanced usage of AI and the management of teams using AI to lean in to process and technological improvements, to include the exploration, experimentation, and application of AI.
