About the role
- Performs benefit education and validation for inpatient benefits, authorization, and collecting patient liabilities
- Handles the accurate verification and calculation of patient liabilities including previous balances and collection of patient payments
- Works face to face with patients for estimated liability collection
- Completes pre-registration and registration tasks while attempting to collect the patient’s financial liability
- Monitors missed collection opportunities for potential process improvements
- Makes follow-up phone calls and sends letters to post-discharge patients detailing estimated liabilities
Requirements
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative) Required within 6 months of hire (Company Paid)
