About the role
- Establish relationships with stakeholders as a strategic business partner to identify learning solutions that drive associate performance and align with organizational objectives and business needs.
- Identify performance gaps that can be effectively closed with learning solutions and content.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to collect training reference materials, sources, and observational data from job shadowing for developing effective training solutions.
- Select the appropriate needs assessment approach or technique, and partner with stakeholders to understand audiences and their learning preferences.
- Leverage appropriate design methodology to curate tailored content to meet learning requirements and drive performance improvement.
- Develop learning, behavioral, and performance outcome statements that guide the selection of modalities, instructional methods, and content.
- Align delivery options and media to effectively achieve those outcomes.
- Incorporate adult learning theory and instructional standards to design and develop learner centric assets.
- Leverage current technology to maximize learning engagement and retention.
- Design blueprints, schematics, or other visual representations of learning and development solutions to gain stakeholder alignment and approval.
- Develop assessment tools for measuring the effectiveness of learning to drive performance improvement.
- Regularly monitor and analyze evaluative data to guide continuous improvement of solutions.
- Perform regular content reviews for maintenance, keeping current, and improvement of assets.
- Demonstrate Agile project management practices, when required, to meet organizational needs.
- Manage multiple projects at various levels of development.
Requirements
- Required Minimum Education - Specialty/Major: Education, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Tech Communications, Organizational Development
- Preferred Minimum Education - Specialty/Major: Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Tech Communications, or related
- 5 years instructional design experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Time management and organization skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
- Experience with authoring tools such as Canva, Simplebooklet, Articulate 360, Captivate, Vyond, Camtasia, Biteable, Photoshop or other technology used in developing learning solutions
- Ability to manage projects, collaborate with others and lead project teams
- Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
