About the role
- Responsible for obtaining patient insurance and financial information
- Determine estimates and collect on estimated patient liabilities
- Carry out notifications to recently discharged bedded patients
- Partner in daily cashiering responsibilities
- Responsible for flat-rate contracts and bundled services
- Facilitate internal and external communication with key stakeholders
- Collaborate with Case Management and/or Utilization Management
- Responsible for running, monitoring, and working on missed collection opportunities report
- Maintain Client and/or Ensemble-specific work queues
- Complete various follow-up reports as assigned
- Manage communications with patients that are unable to make payments
- Ensure completion of all required registration-related consents/forms
- Develop and submit CFO escalations of uncollected estimated liabilities
- Assist eligibility specialists in verification of insurance information
- Work daily queues to complete, update, and clear any unbilled accounts
Requirements
- 1 - 3 years of customer service experience
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- CRCR Required within 9 months of hire (Company Paid)
- Have a basic understanding of Medicare & Medicaid benefits
- Have a basic understanding of Labor & Delivery benefits
- Understanding and explaining EOBs
- Grants and research
- Black Lung qualification
- COBRA benefits
- Healthcare Sharing Ministry coverages
- Billing and back-end processes
