About the role
- Serves as the primary HIM service line leader and acts as the primary support for all HIM related functions.
- Manages all paper and electronic records.
- Oversees the physician delinquency process, record analysis, data integrity, physician relations and continuously monitors productivity and quality metrics to meet or exceed standards.
- Supports employees and physicians as a resource person for health information management issues.
- Develops and monitors implementation of client site departmental goals/objectives and the performance improvement process.
- Acts as primary HIM management representative to Site CEO and Site COO as well as other administrative departments.
- Supports and assures compliance of all HIM policies and procedures.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in the Health Information Management field
- Excellent speaking and presentation skills required
- Exceptional customer service
- Training experience
- MS office knowledge
- Proficiency in electronic health records
- Candidate must have and keep current at least one of the following professional certifications: RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) or RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician)
