About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Frame ambiguous business problems into structured analytical questions and define the right approach.
- Lead the design and delivery of high impact analyses, ensuring outputs are statistically sound and decision‑ready.
- Build scalable, reusable analytical datasets and dashboards that support cross team decision‑making.
- Improve analytical modelling practices, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with business logic.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to analysts to raise team capability.
- Partner with stakeholders to align analytical work with strategic goals and influence data‑led decision making.
- Identify and resolve complex data discrepancies, ensuring metric definitions remain consistent and trusted.
- Communicate uncertainty, limitations, and trade-offs clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Lead improvements to analytical processes, documentation, and validation practices.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and responsible use standards across analytical work.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience in data analytics with a track record of delivering high quality insights and modelling
- Strong SQL skills and experience building reliable analytical datasets
- Experience designing dashboards and analytical products that influence decision making
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly to all audiences
- Strong understanding of statistical methods, uncertainty, and analytical interpretation
- Ability to challenge assumptions, reframe problems, and guide analytical direction
- Experience improving analytical processes, standards, or modelling practices within a team
- Experience in customer service, retail energy, or SaaS environments
- Python skills for advanced analysis
- Experience with Databricks or similar analytical platforms
- Understanding of data engineering concepts and upstream data dependencies
- Experience designing or reviewing experiments (A/B tests)
