About the role
- Own end-to-end product design for ENS experiences
- Lead design from early discovery and concepting through high-fidelity execution and launch.
- Design flows, interfaces, and interactions that make complex Web3 concepts feel clear and approachable.
- Partner deeply with Product and Engineering
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to define requirements, explore tradeoffs, and ship high-quality solutions.
- Translate technical constraints and protocol mechanics into thoughtful UX decisions.
- Design for multiple audiences
- Craft intuitive experiences for end users managing names and identity.
- Design powerful, information-dense interfaces for developers and power users working with ENS data and tools.
- Ground design decisions in user insight
- Conduct and synthesize user research, usability testing, analytics, and experimentation.
- Advocate for the user while balancing protocol realities and long-term product strategy.
- Communicate and advocate for design
- Clearly present design concepts, rationale, and tradeoffs to cross-functional partners and leadership.
- Incorporate feedback while maintaining a strong point of view.
- Raise the design bar at ENS
- Help define and evolve design guidelines, patterns, and best practices across ENS products.
- Stay current on industry trends and bring relevant ideas into the team — especially where Web2 UX patterns meet Web3 constraints.
Requirements
- Product design experience: ~3+ years designing user-facing digital products, ideally in complex or technical domains.
- Strong craft and systems thinking: Deep understanding of UX, UI, interaction design, and visual hierarchy, with a portfolio that shows thoughtful problem-solving.
- Collaborative and autonomous: Comfortable owning design problems end-to-end while working closely with cross-functional partners.
- Clear communicator: Able to articulate design decisions, give and receive feedback, and advocate for users.
- Technical curiosity: Interest in understanding how things work under the hood, especially in blockchain or developer-centric products.
- Web3-native mindset: Familiar with blockchain concepts and excited about decentralized identity, open standards, and the future of the internet.
