QA Engineer

• Perform quality control inspections of bridge structural steel and stainless steel fabrication activities in a shop environment
• Inspect welding operations in accordance with CSA W47.1 / W59 , project specifications, and approved WPS/WPQ
• Verify material traceability , heat numbers, MTRs, and compliance with project specifications
• Review and interpret structural, mechanical, and fabrication drawings
• Conduct dimensional checks, fit-up inspections, and final visual inspections
• Monitor fabrication processes including cutting, forming, welding, assembly, and surface preparation
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures , inspection and test plans (ITPs), and hold points
• Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs , and follow up on corrective actions
• Maintain accurate inspection records, daily reports, weld logs, and turnover documentation
• Liaise with fabrication personnel, supervisors, engineers, and project stakeholders
• Promote and enforce site safety requirements and safe work practices
