About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create mechanical designs, 2D drawings and 3D models of automation cells, retrofits and reconfigurations
- Construct bill of materials for robots and auxiliary equipment
- Provide general mechanical engineering support for field work
- Act as technical lead for mechanical engineering team
- Oversee ME department standards and quality of design
- Participate in project kick-off meetings and design reviews
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3D modeling of custom automation equipment
- Modify and adapt existing library components for use
- Create mechanical designs according to industry safety standards
- Develop 2D drawings for: Automated production cells, Auxiliary equipment, Individual parts
- Prepare complete bill of materials for production orders
- Submit items and equipment for procurement
- Provide technical support to other team members
- Assist with the project quoting efforts
