About the role

  • Take on the strategic, technical and disciplinary responsibility for an engineering team on our Agent Platform
  • Define and align technical goals for your team
  • Set clear, measurable objectives to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery
  • Lead and steer the full DevOps lifecycle of our user-centric products — from architecture, design and development to deployment, operation and optimization
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the organisation, including Product Management and Design, other teams, and the C-level to ensure alignment and efficiency
  • Act as a coach and mentor to your engineers, supporting their professional growth and helping them reach their full potential

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in a Lead Software Engineering role with a focus on Backend Engineering in an agile environment
  • Strong experience with modern technology stacks at high complexity and scale
  • Experience developing distributed systems with stringent performance and reliability requirements
  • Expert knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
  • Deep understanding of relational database design principles and strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Deep understanding of modern cloud-based backend architectures and technologies (GCP preferred)
  • Passion for developing people and supporting their professional growth
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus
