About the role
- Conduct wind and solar resource studies, from data analysis and validation to modeling and energy production estimation.
- Process and validate data from anemometer masts, solar measurement stations and Lidars, applying advanced quality-control methodologies.
- Develop and optimize project layouts, taking into account environmental, topographic, land-tenure, regulatory and performance constraints.
- Calculate Annual Energy Production (AEP) and estimate losses (wake, availability, electrical losses, among others).
- Perform energy simulations using specialized tools such as WindPRO, Meteodyn, OpenWind, WindSim, PVsyst, and others.
- Prepare technical reports, analytical dashboards and support the standardization of methodologies and templates.
- Perform comparative analyses between field measurements and climate reanalysis data.
- Participate in feasibility studies and technical due diligence processes.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, GIS, environmental and land-tenure teams.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous process improvement.
- Support administrative routines and other activities related to the area.
- Attend events, workshops, trade fairs and technical site visits in the renewable energy sector.
- Comply with and uphold safety standards, operational procedures and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Meteorology or Data Science.
- Proficiency in English for reading and technical communication.
- Knowledge of WindPRO, OpenWind, Meteodyn, Windographer and Excel, in addition to statistical analysis, intermediate GIS skills and programming in Python or R.
