About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as executive architect of end-to-end supply chain operations for ENFRA’s energy infrastructure and Energy-as-a-Service delivery portfolio
- Lead national strategy and operating cadence for engineered equipment and subcontract procurement across HVAC/mechanical, BAS/controls, electrical, and related multi-trade construction scopes
- Own financial performance across spend management, cost optimization, margin protection, and enterprise value creation
- Deliver annual savings through strategic sourcing, volume consolidation, supplier negotiation, design-to-value engineering, and total cost of ownership optimization
- Partner with Delivery leadership to translate supply chain capabilities into competitive advantage and enterprise growth
- Build and mentor high-performing teams across planning, sourcing, logistics, contractor management, and supplier management
- Orchestrate sourcing, vendor qualification, onboarding, contract negotiation, inbound freight, warehousing, inventory optimization, and supply continuity planning
- Establish national demand-supply planning tied to project backlog, forecasts, equipment lead times, contractor capacity, and procurement readiness
- Improve the national IS Delivery supply chain operating model, including procurement planning, bid-to-contract management, contractor onboarding, supplier relationship management, purchase orders, subcontracts, and project closeout
- Drive adoption of national agreements for BAS, mechanical, electrical, HVAC equipment, controls, generators, switchgear, solar, and other engineered equipment
- Align procurement strategy with project scope, schedules, engineering deliverables, cost phasing, customer suppliers, regional markets, and execution plans
- Design supplier performance scorecards and conduct executive business reviews with strategic suppliers
- Implement preferred supplier programs, corrective action governance, risk mitigation, dual sourcing, alternate routes/carriers, safety stock optimization, and disruption response protocols
- Build, scale, and manage a national contractor and trade partner network across ENFRA’s IS Delivery regions
- Establish contractor coverage by region, trade, capability, safety, financial strength, healthcare/institutional experience, responsiveness, and multi-trade execution ability
- Own vendor and subcontractor databases, prequalification, onboarding, risk screening, and maintenance with Risk, HSE, Legal, Project Teams, and Project Controls
- Standardize the ENFRA supply chain model while adapting to project, customer, contract, energy-savings, and local-market requirements
- Develop supplier segmentation frameworks and preferred contractor programs with incentives and capacity reservation agreements
- Monitor contractor performance through safety, delivery, quality, responsiveness, and financial stability scorecards
- Promote company values, positive culture, and team ethics
- Lead supply chain transformation using advanced analytics, automation, and digital platforms for visibility and predictive decision-making
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Finance, Law, Business, Engineering, or Architecture
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, procurement, strategic sourcing, construction operations, project delivery, engineered equipment procurement, or contractor management
- Preferably experience in complex multi-state, multi-trade construction
- Minimum 10 years managing end-to-end supply chain operations including sourcing, procurement, logistics, and supplier management
- Annual spend under management exceeding $100M with demonstrable cost savings results
- Proven ability to build and manage national or regional supplier, contractor, and trade partner networks
- Demonstrated experience procuring HVAC/mechanical, electrical, BAS/controls, and central plant engineered equipment
- Experience with RFP development, technical evaluation, lead-time management, manufacturer negotiations, PO execution, and coordination with engineering and construction teams
- Strong understanding of GMP, lump sum, design-build, EPC/EPCm, subcontracting, equipment POs, MSAs, CSAs, and professional services agreements
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams, drive organizational change, and present supply chain strategies to board-level audiences
- Executive-level negotiation skills, including securing favorable commercial terms, resolving supplier disputes, and building strategic partnerships with Tier 1 suppliers
- Experience working with ERP systems, including supply chain data analytics
- Ability to provide an inclusive workplace that fosters development of others
- Preferred: experience with EPC, design-build, energy infrastructure, Energy-as-a-Service, national sourcing programs, ERP or procurement transformation
- Preferred: CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, Lean/Six Sigma, MBA, or other advanced education/certifications
- Expertise in supply chain networks for solar, battery, CHP, fuel cells, or other new energy technologies
- Ability to travel 20–35%
- Ability to perform prolonged standing or sitting, climb stairs, repeat wrist/hand/finger motions, and adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
