About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, delegate, and support the development of practices, procedures, and systems for a continuously improving and profitable engineering organization
Oversee the design, modification, and improvement of company engineering projects and services
Direct the design of testing and maintenance processes and ensure quality control
Delegate and empower Directors to establish technical execution plans, analyze team performance, and establish effective communication across the EaaS team
Oversee the Energy Efficiency Application process for EaaS projects to maximize incentive cost/benefit and meet contractual obligations
Establish workload priorities and schedules with the Engineering Project Management group
Review actual construction savings against modeled savings and coordinate corrective action when projects do not achieve desired outcomes
Coordinate process development to expedite energy savings delivery on EaaS projects
Coordinate development of an efficient organizational structure, including knowledge, skills, abilities, and succession planning
Perform administrative duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management with 7+ years' engineering leadership experience
OR 20+ years of relevant industry experience in Retro-Commissioning or commissioning with 7+ years' leadership experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
Versed in industry best practices
Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
Preferred: experience in healthcare and higher education
Preferred: Professional Engineer License
Ability to travel; 30% of time spent traveling to job sites/office locations
Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
Ability to climb stairs
Ability to remain stationary, often kneeling, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
Ability to repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Ability to work in a quiet environment
Ability to perform light work, including adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds
