About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee implementation aspects of delivery projects or portions of projects
- Manage project financial aspects, subcontractors, vendors, and delivery of safe, quality outcomes
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment through site planning, safety plan reviews, JHA approvals, toolbox talks, and site walks
- Assist the Senior Project Manager and Construction Manager in ensuring scope, code, and project requirements are met
- Coordinate management of GMP, Lump Sum, or Concession Agreement contract delivery types
- Manage Procore setup for change management and document control
- Negotiate and prepare vendor purchase orders and subcontracts
- Participate in project hand-off meetings and establish project goals and client expectations
- Establish site utilization and baseline project schedules
- Prepare monthly project reports and cost reviews
- Establish the project schedule of values for monthly client payment applications
- Lead implementation of the project-specific quality assurance plan
- Lead change management from RFI affect letters, drawing revisions, and client directives through resolution
- Lead and document regular meetings with company teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients
- Manage project schedules, issues, risk logs, and mitigation plans
- Build and maintain customer relationships aligned with client and company energy goals
- Participate in industry organizations and community activities
- Manage and develop Assistant Project Managers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-year degree in Construction Management, applicable Engineering, or applicable field experience and 3+ years of experience
- Effective presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Emerging leadership skills and willingness to address challenges, resolve issues, and motivate others while maintaining relationships
- Ability to manage outcomes resourcefully while focusing on safety, financial performance, and client expectations
- Ability to multitask and perform additional duties as necessary
- Travel 25–40% of the time to job sites and/or office locations
- Ability to climb stairs and ascend/descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- Ability to remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Ability to repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Ability to move between worksites to accomplish tasks
- Ability to work in outdoor elements including precipitation and wind, as well as noisy and quiet environments
- Ability to perform light work, including adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds
