About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute software development tasks as an individual contributor
  • Work on an agile product development team with scrum master, product owner, and internal or external development team members
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical employees and consultants
  • Complete tasks independently or in a self-directed manner
  • Follow software development policies and best practices for testing, quality control, coding, and documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience working on a professional software development team
  • Willingness to learn the fundamentals of Energy-as-a-Service business fields
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and willingness to improve
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Desire to grow and develop professionally
  • Proficiency with multiple technologies and languages
  • Experience with agile software development processes
  • Proficiency with source code management systems such as Git
  • Experience with software quality control, including unit testing
  • Experience developing single-page web applications using Angular 2+
  • Experience with agile management tools such as Azure DevOps
  • Experience with C#
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and other scripting languages
  • Preferred: MS in Computer Science or related field
  • Preferred: Experience developing with Microsoft Azure
  • Preferred: Experience deploying to critical production environments
  • Preferred: Experience setting up and deploying code using CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time to job sites and office locations
  • Ability to perform the listed physical requirements, including prolonged desk/computer work, climbing stairs, kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods, repetitive wrist/hand/finger motions, and moving objects up to 20 pounds
