About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute software development tasks as an individual contributor
Work on an agile product development team with scrum master, product owner, and internal or external development team members
Collaborate with technical and non-technical employees and consultants
Complete tasks independently or in a self-directed manner
Follow software development policies and best practices for testing, quality control, coding, and documentation
Maintain and operate company technology products
Develop innovative systems for collecting, computing, and storing energy and telemetry data within the Connect platform
Engage with internal and external customers
Participate in company non-software engineering projects to understand software product use and value
Travel to job sites and office locations

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience working on a professional software development team
Willingness to learn the fundamentals of Energy-as-a-Service business fields
Strong technical and analytical skills
Good communication skills and willingness to improve
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Desire to grow and develop professionally
Proficiency with multiple technologies and languages
Experience with agile software development processes
Proficiency with source code management systems such as Git
Experience with software quality control, including unit testing
Experience developing single-page web applications using Angular 2+
Experience with agile management tools such as Azure DevOps
Experience with C#
Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and other scripting languages
Preferred: MS in Computer Science or related field
Preferred: Experience developing with Microsoft Azure
Preferred: Experience deploying to critical production environments
Preferred: Experience setting up and deploying code using CI/CD pipelines
Ability to travel 25% of the time to job sites and office locations
Ability to perform the listed physical requirements, including prolonged desk/computer work, climbing stairs, kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods, repetitive wrist/hand/finger motions, and moving objects up to 20 pounds
