About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor client buildings and systems through ENFRA Connect and other FDD tools
  • Review flagged faults and rules output to identify issues affecting energy consumption, equipment performance, and comfort
  • Analyze trend data, historian data, and point-level detail to diagnose mechanical, control, and sequence-related faults
  • Investigate HVAC system performance, including chillers, air handling units, VAV systems, and central plant equipment
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned healthcare and education clients
  • Conduct regular client meetings or calls to review issues, explain root causes, and align corrective priorities
  • Develop and present actionable recommendations with expected energy and reliability impacts
  • Track fault resolution and follow up with clients and field technicians
  • Manage issue timelines and escalate unresolved or high-impact faults
  • Prepare periodic findings reports and dashboards
  • Support FDD rule customization and refinement
  • Quantify and document energy and cost savings from fault correction
  • Collaborate with MBCx engineers and team leadership on complex diagnostics and escalations
  • Maintain documentation of building systems, sequences of operation, and equipment inventories
  • Support onboarding of new buildings and systems into the MBCx monitoring platform
  • Uphold ENFRA's owner advocacy philosophy, mission, and core values

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
  • Excellent multitasking skills, with ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary
  • Preferred: Engineering Intern (EI) licensure
  • Preferred: CEM, CMVP, CEP, CEA, EEP, or BEP certification through the Association of Energy Engineers or equivalent
  • Preferred: Experience with energy efficiency programs
  • Preferred: Experience analyzing utility data
  • Preferred: Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC systems
  • Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Python, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, or R
  • Ability to travel 5–10% of the time to job site(s)/office location
  • Ability to climb stairs and remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions
  • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
