About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical components/equipment
- Perform service projects and small jobs from beginning to completion
- Ensure total customer satisfaction throughout service projects
- Install and commission a wide variety of HVAC equipment
- Maintain HVAC equipment, including atmospheric boilers and water-cooled chillers
- Service and repair energy recovery ventilators, hydronic AHUs, and FCUs
- Establish and maintain clear communication with customers on and off job sites
- Assist with inventory maintenance and tool procurement for the individual service vehicle
- Promote and perform all company safety procedures and policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–4 years of HVAC experience
- Maintenance experience with chillers, boilers, pumps, AHUs, and other equipment
- Mechanical and diagnostic troubleshooting skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of the HVAC industry and the Company's competitors
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
- Current licensed technician status or verifiable experience servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
- EPA Certification preferred
- OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification preferred
- Travel to job sites/office location 0–5% of the time
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles
- Ability to work in tight and confined spaces
- Ability to kneel, stand, or sit for prolonged periods
- Ability to operate machinery, power tools, and motor vehicles
- Ability to work in low and high indoor temperatures, outdoor precipitation, heat, cold, wind, and noisy environments
- Ability to adjust and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
