About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the end-to-end supply chain operating system from supplier identification and contractor qualification through final project delivery
  • Lead national strategy and operating cadence for engineered equipment and subcontract procurement across HVAC/mechanical, BAS/controls, electrical, and multi-trade construction scopes
  • Manage spend management, cost optimization, margin protection, annual savings, avoided costs, and total cost of ownership optimization
  • Orchestrate sourcing, vendor qualification and onboarding, contract negotiation, inbound freight, warehousing, inventory optimization, and supply continuity planning
  • Establish national demand-supply planning tied to project backlog, forecasts, equipment lead times, contractor capacity, and procurement readiness
  • Improve the national IS Delivery supply chain operating model, including procurement planning, bid-to-contract management, contractor onboarding, supplier relationships, purchase orders, subcontracts, and project closeout
  • Drive adoption of national agreements for BAS, mechanical, electrical, HVAC equipment, controls, generators, switchgear, solar, and other engineered equipment
  • Align procurement strategy with project scope, schedule, engineering deliverables, cost phasing, preferred suppliers, regional conditions, and execution plans
  • Design supplier performance scorecards, executive business reviews, preferred supplier programs, and corrective action governance
  • Execute supply chain resilience strategies including mapping, alternate routes and carriers, dual sourcing, safety stock optimization, and disruption response
  • Build, scale, and manage a national contractor and trade partner network
  • Own vendor and subcontractor databases, prequalification, onboarding, risk screening, and supplier maintenance
  • Standardize the supply chain model across IS Delivery regions while tailoring plans to project and market requirements
  • Develop supplier segmentation and preferred contractor programs with performance incentives and capacity reservation agreements
  • Monitor contractor performance across safety, delivery, quality, responsiveness, and financial stability
  • Lead supply chain transformation using advanced analytics, automation, and digital platforms
  • Build and mentor high-performing supply chain teams and foster continuous improvement
  • Operate and promote company values, leading by example and encouraging positive culture and team ethics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Finance, Law, Business, Engineering, or Architecture
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, procurement, strategic sourcing, construction operations, project delivery, engineered equipment procurement, or contractor management
  • Minimum 10 years managing end-to-end supply chain operations including sourcing, procurement, logistics, and supplier management
  • Experience managing annual spend exceeding $100M with demonstrable cost savings results
  • Ability to build and manage national or regional supplier, contractor, and trade partner networks
  • Experience procuring HVAC/mechanical, electrical, BAS/controls, and central plant engineered equipment
  • Experience with RFP development, technical evaluation, lead-time management, manufacturer negotiations, PO execution, and engineering/construction coordination
  • Strong understanding of GMP, lump sum, design-build, EPC/EPCm, subcontracting, equipment POs, MSAs, CSAs, and professional services agreements
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, organizational change, and board-level presentation skills
  • Executive-level negotiation skills, supplier dispute resolution, and strategic partnership development
  • Experience with ERP systems and supply chain data analytics
  • Ability to provide an inclusive workplace fostering others’ development
  • 20–35% travel required
  • Preferred: EPC, design-build, energy infrastructure, Energy-as-a-Service, national sourcing, ERP/procurement transformation, CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, Lean/Six Sigma, MBA, and new energy technology supply chain experience
  • Ability to perform prolonged standing or sitting, climb stairs, repeat wrist/hand/finger motions, and adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
