About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review facility energy usage daily and provide guidance, best practices, and operational modifications
- Mentor the owner on energy strategies
- Manage Central Energy Plant operations and maintenance, including subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers
- Manage Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the Central Energy Plant
- Work with operators to ensure efficient plant operation
- Conduct ongoing training for Plant Operators
- Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual
- Assist the EPC team in coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction activities with OMC operations
- Coordinate on-site troubleshooting and diagnostics with remote support services
- Manage one or more teams consisting of Asset Managers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of experience managing multiple sites and/or Asset Managers, a central plant or facility, or mechanical construction with a large mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant
- Well versed in building codes and associated standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
- Preferred: 4 year Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET Accredited Program
- PE preferred or FE working towards obtaining PE
- Ability to travel 10–25% of the time to job sites/office locations
- Ability to perform physical activities including climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles; working in tight and confined spaces; and standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Ability to perform medium work, including adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds
