About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provides overall direction for field installation of assigned projects
Owns direct responsibility for field labor, labor coordination, quality control, and safety on assigned project
Represents the Company on project sites ensuring installation functions as designed and satisfies contracted scope and customer
Attends and contributes to various operations meetings
Has fundamental understanding of estimating process
Blueprint reading, coordination, layout, sketching and materials take off
Material, tool and equipment handling including: ordering, receiving, placing and returning
Contract scope delineations, confirming construction drawings and specs agree with contract scope
Responds to general contractor's requests concerning scope limits
Assists in trade stacking and phasing, influencing project scheduling
Assists in manpower loading and maintaining two week look ahead schedule
Time keeping and other admin duties such as daily reports, submittal log, RFI status etc
Ensures safety and other company programs are implemented and effective
Building code compliance
Labor and material cost forecasting
Quality Control
Monitors and mentors all field sheet metal personnel
Full responsibility of all field operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Craft supervision experience in similar facility construction
Must have experience managing all crews
Must have advanced knowledge of how jobs are assembled in the field
Must have verifiable experience working on projects of $500K or more
Must manage to the budget, plan to the schedule, plan for the unexpected, and meet or exceed project deadlines while keeping safety first
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
