About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Performs technical activities on assigned projects under supervision of a licensed professional engineer
- Designs and prepares drawings for electrical systems for building projects
- Conducts code review, lighting calculations, one-line diagrams, branch circuit and feeder calculations
- Attends meetings with owners, clients, and/or architects as needed
- Conducts site surveys to determine existing facility conditions
- Assists in preparing punch lists and project observations reports
- Participates in industry organizations and attends events
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2-year Technical Degree or Associates Degree in Electrical-Related Field
- 4 - 5 years of experience as an electrical designer for an engineering or architectural/engineering design firm
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Revit, and AutoCAD
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment
- Excellent multitasking skills
- Must have Journeyman Electrician License (or equal experience).
