About the role
- Overseeing and managing all aspects of the operations quality control and assurance processes.
- Strategic leadership and technical expertise to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Daily inspection of machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepares daily report of findings with recommendations for corrective action.
- Assisting in development of standardized job inspection instructions per client and code requirements.
- Conduct and maintain related training records.
- Testing and certifying welders and welding procedures.
- Maintaining welder continuity logs per applicable codes.
- Scheduling contract NDE as needed.
- Ensuring that all quality control activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements, standards, and codes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, defect reduction, and enhanced efficiency.
- Collaborating closely with other departments to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to junior quality control professionals.
Requirements
- CWI preferred but not required for the right candidate
- ASNT Level 2 in ASME B31 piping
