About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Start up and operate equipment
Troubleshoot and adjust equipment as necessary
Follow department instructions and procedures
Visually inspect materials for defects
Control scrap
Count and record production
Perform daily housekeeping and cleanliness procedures
Follow ISO, environmental, and safety procedures
Use hand and power tools for mechanical work to construct and manufacture products
Pack and secure materials for transport
Work as part of a production team to meet production targets
Liaise with maintenance regarding machine issues to minimize downtime

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to perform basic math, including subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
Ability to read, write, understand, and interpret instructions
Ability to differentiate colors
Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos daily on a continuous basis, with assistance for heavier items
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Must wear required personal protective equipment properly
Must be able and willing to wear a respirator
Must be able and willing to work overtime
Must be able and willing to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
Manufacturing experience preferred
Will work in a plant/warehouse environment with exposure to electrical shock and lead/fiberglass products
Periodic blood tests are required to measure lead levels
