About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Transport cells or batteries to circuits.
  • Connect cells or batteries to circuits.
  • Remove and install charging connectors.
  • Fill cells and level cells with acid during charging.
  • Water cells on charge.
  • Disconnect cells or batteries from circuits and transport as needed.
  • Burn in or remove forming wire.
  • Read and adjust gravity.
  • Operate overs and dry chargers.
  • Stack and transport plates.
  • Count and record various production records.
  • Maintain and clean charging and forming areas.
  • Perform daily housekeeping, hygiene & cleanliness procedures.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • At least one (1) year of manufacturing or distribution center experience.
  • At least one (1) year of experience with material handling equipment.
  • Proficiency with computers and computer-based programs.
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able and willing to wear a respirator.
  • Must be able and willing to work varying schedules which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.
