About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage plant financial performance
- Full analysis and advice on financial impact of management decisions
- Forecasting and budgeting
- Implementing systems and reporting practices that support best practice governance and control environments
- Review and manage the plant expense structure
- Identify and lead cost savings initiatives
- Review and validate plant monthly financial results
- Perform month-end closing for operations and cost transactions
- Analyze cost drivers and prepare monthly variance reports
- Provide analysis and advice to management on plant financial performance
- Lead preparation and review of annual budget
- Cooperate closely with UK Financial Controller
- Establish and maintain systems over inventory and plant fixed assets
- Manage capital investment projects financial assessment and payback criteria
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience leading and managing professional teams
- Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
- Excellent working knowledge and application of ERP (including SAP) and Excel
- Extensive experience of implementation and development of finance systems, controls and processes
- Qualified CIMA (preferred) or ACCA/ACA
- Experience working for a global manufacturing company in a matrix working environment
