About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Under the direction of the V.P. of Global OPS Motive Power, be responsible for the Legacy Americas manufacturing plants in Richmond (KY), Sumter (SC) Hays (KS).
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensure the plants are structured to support future growth, and process related improvements.
  • Partner with Supply Chain leaders to ensure material availability, supplier quality, and cost-effective sourcing align with production requirements.
  • Coordinate and provide guidance and leadership to the organization according to plans, policies, strategy, legal requirements, and group governance.
  • Own and drive improvement in key plant metrics across People, Customer, and Shareholder categories using Plan vs Actual reporting and daily management systems.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong leadership and excellent managerial skills; communication, negotiation, presentation, organization, planning, analytical skills, targets oriented, market awareness.
  • Advanced proficiency in process optimization methodologies (e.g. Lean Management).
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop leaders with a foundation of reliability and integrity.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), data analytics tools (Power BI preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of multi-plant operations leadership with full P&L accountability.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Operations, preferably Battery Manufacturing but not required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in continuous improvement.
  • Preferably operating within an Operating System based on advanced lean principles.
  • English required. Spanish proficiency is a strong plus.
