Field Service Technician III
EnerSysField Service Technician providing expert on-site support for EnerSys battery and power systems. Responsible for installation, maintenance, and customer relations while ensuring optimal system performance.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide expert-level technical support to customers, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of complex battery equipment and power systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot intricate technical issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and performance optimization to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing timely, efficient, and professional service.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000 standards.
- Train and mentor junior technicians, sharing expertise and knowledge to enhance their skills and development.
- Lead and manage small-scale field service projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project specifications.
- Meticulously document all service activities, including maintenance records and repair logs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field (e.g., electrical engineering, electronics technology).
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Field Service Technician, demonstrating progressive responsibility and technical expertise in the battery and power systems industry.
- In-depth knowledge of battery technologies, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, and related systems.
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, including the ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using specialized tools and test equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
