About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and coordinate the Quality activities with battery suppliers
  • Drive the Quality activities and coordinate the communication with project teams
  • Identify, communicate, plan and execute Quality improvements with suppliers
  • Lead problem solving initiatives and prioritize issues as they arise
  • Manage open items from suppliers and Enersys to closure
  • Perform product and process audits on a routine basis
  • Manage communication two ways: supply base and EnerSys
  • Ability to multi-task, oversee multiple projects (NPI, current production, and continuous improvements activities)
  • Coordinate and review PPAP submittals in preparation for series production
  • Prepare weekly / monthly Supplier Quality related Reports
  • Moderate and/or support Design and Process FMEAs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Quality tools experience (i.e. AIAG core tools)
  • Experience with battery manufacturing and sub-components
  • Program management skills
  • Experience with dealing with suppliers, minimum 3 years as SQE
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Certified IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3 auditor
  • Bachelor’s in Science – Engineering (or 6-years as SQE)
