About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the development and implementation of EHS programs at the facility
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety laws
- Maintain records and documents required by regulatory agencies
- Facilitate risk assessments and drive accident reduction initiatives
- Act as the liaison with the local community and regulatory agencies
- Manage worker's compensation investigations and reporting
- Conduct necessary EHS training for new employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive knowledge of EHS laws, rules, and regulations
- Experience with ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and OSHA VPP certification
- Familiarity with RCRA, CWA, CAA, EPA, OSHA, DOT regulations
- Ability to develop manufacturing procedures to comply with laws
- Experience in conducting risk assessments
- Strong communication skills for interacting with agencies
- Leadership experience in an EHS department
- Training ability for EHS/WC programs
