Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee the development and implementation of EHS programs at the facility
Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety laws
Maintain records and documents required by regulatory agencies
Facilitate risk assessments and drive accident reduction initiatives
Act as the liaison with the local community and regulatory agencies
Manage worker's compensation investigations and reporting
Conduct necessary EHS training for new employees

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extensive knowledge of EHS laws, rules, and regulations
Experience with ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and OSHA VPP certification
Familiarity with RCRA, CWA, CAA, EPA, OSHA, DOT regulations
Ability to develop manufacturing procedures to comply with laws
Experience in conducting risk assessments
Strong communication skills for interacting with agencies
Leadership experience in an EHS department
Training ability for EHS/WC programs
