About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Travel to customer sites to perform basic installation, preventative maintenance, and basic repair of battery equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and diagnose common technical issues, replace defective parts, and reassemble equipment
- Provide on-site technical assistance and training to customers on the safe operation of their equipment
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely, efficient, and professional service
- Effectively communicate with customers to understand their needs, explain technical details, and resolve concerns
- Act as a liaison between the customer and the company to ensure customer satisfaction
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000 standards
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, and customer interactions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 1 ½ years of field service experience in electrical, telecom, or energy-related fields
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and test equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as schematics and manuals
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for insurability
- Availability to work non-standard hours in a 24/7 work week
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as bending, stooping, and kneeling.
