About the role

  • Develop and oversee construction project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Manage and coordinate on-site construction teams, including subcontractors and skilled trades.
  • Ensure all project personnel understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct regular site meetings to ensure alignment and communication across all team members.
  • Monitor project expenses and oversee budget allocations.
  • Control project costs to avoid overruns and address any discrepancies or changes.
  • Approve purchase orders and ensure efficient use of materials and resources.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards and comply with local codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, changes, and inspections.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Address and resolve any unexpected issues or delays to keep the project on schedule.
  • Serve as the primary and secondary point of contact for clients, updating them on project status.
  • Facilitate clear communication between all parties, including architects, engineers, suppliers, and regulators.
  • Provide regular progress reports and ensure all stakeholders are informed of any changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project)
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Certification in construction management (e.g., PMP, CCM) is a plus
