About the role
- Primary duty is to independently perform electrical testing on batteries following laboratory procedures with minimal supervision while working closely with other members of the laboratory team.
- Operate electrical instrumentation to measure the performance of batteries.
- Generate accurate technical reports for the engineering groups.
- Ensure that testing is started and completed on time by maintaining a flexible schedule and practicing good time management.
- Ability to clearly communicate both written and orally.
- Assist with product shipment and deliveries.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- High attention to detail.
- Perform teardown evaluations of the product with minimal supervision.
- Ability to operate battery-powered equipment for material handling.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree, or equivalent Military Experience in a related field, such as Electronics, Electrical Utility, Physical Sciences, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering; or 6-8 years of experience in a related discipline.
- Good problem solving and visualization skills are needed.
- Previous experience with battery testing software LIMS/VisuaLCN/Battery Manager etc.
- Previous experience programming test sequences.
- Previous experience with battery, battery chargers, DC electricity, or electrical measurement/data acquisition devices is required.
- Previous certification on operating material handling equipment, PLC programming, or calibration certification is beneficial but not required.
