About the role

Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems
Undertake Lean Manufacturing, 5s, and Kaizen projects
Provide manufacturing decision making information by calculating production, labor, and materials costs
Manage moderately complex projects
Generate project plans, perform budget maintenance, and resource coordination
Continual development and implementation of process improvements
Research, design, procure, implement, test, and monitor new systems, technologies, and equipment
Direct installation, integration, and operational testing
Obtain and maintain operational efficiencies of machinery and equipment
Manage several projects at one time
Ensure compliance with all safety, environment and health processes and procedures.

BS Degree in relevant engineering discipline
Mechanical or Industrial Engineer preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of project-based engineering experience
Minimum of five (5) years of project-based engineering experience if no BS degree
Experience in Lead Acid Battery Manufacturing a plus
Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
Effective in influential and instructional communications
Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Capable understanding in computer systems and software applications
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing workflow
Must be detail oriented and organized.
