About the role
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger.
- Assist with audit preparations.
- Prepare financial reports.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
- Communicate, escalate, and coordinate with plant accountants, segment leads, functional department heads and third-party service providers.
- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
- Prepare special projects, ad hoc requests, and other analysis as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent extensive experience in accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting role (preferably publicly traded company or Big 4).
- Strong knowledge of the US GAAP, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to communicate (orally and written) in a professional manner when dealing with employees and management both inside and outside the finance department.
- Ability to critically think and solve problems that deal with a variety of variables.
- Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
- Motivated self-starter, and team player.
- Must be highly organized, and accurate with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills, intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of intercompany transactions and recharges a plus.
