About the role
- Responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes for lithium batteries of different types
- Collaborates with product engineers to ensure battery designs can be manufactured with minimal difficulty
- Works with technicians to develop processes from scratch or adapt existing processes and equipment to new products
- Specifies new equipment, installs and sets it up
- Supports daily production by troubleshooting and repairing equipment
- Creates and updates written work instructions for operators
- Investigates, tests, and implements process improvements in a controlled AS9100 and ISO 13485 certified facility
- Monitors production scrap rates and actively works to maximize yields.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field
- 5 or more years in a manufacturing environment
- Prior manufacturing experience
- Prior experience in lean manufacturing
- Experience in AS9100
- Experience in ISO 13485
- Competencies: Rockwell Automation Studio 5000, Solid modeling, SolidWorks preferred, Fanuc teach pendant, Statistical process control, Statistical analysis, Written and oral communication, Creative problem solving, Root cause analysis, Troubleshooting, Strong attention to details, Ability to work with little or no supervision, Continuous improvement methodologies such as lean and six sigma, Hands-on mechanical aptitude.
