About the role

  • Develop control functions for wind turbines with the goal of optimizing mechanical loads and energy yield
  • Identify and project-manage promising initiatives for control-system development
  • Integrate control algorithms into the turbine control system, including programming tasks
  • Work closely with various engineering disciplines and relevant certification bodies
  • Evaluate the control performance of the turbine fleet
  • Develop internal software tools

Requirements

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering with above-average results in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification
  • Programming experience, preferably in C/C++, Simulink and MATLAB, or Python
  • Knowledge of system simulation and control engineering or PLC programming
  • Professional experience in a related area such as control-system development, wind-turbine technology, or simulation-based engineering is an advantage
  • Fluent in English with the ability to communicate effectively in technical and collaborative environments
  • German or Dutch language skills are desirable
